In one of the StewMac tips and tricks videos, one of Dan's friends from Brazil used something they called "nickel stick(ers)" that were some kind of custom nickel plated stickers to to apply his logo to the headstock. I couldn't find a product by that name anywhere, but there are various places in China where you can order custom electroformed stickers that look like the same thing. Only problem is, they're talking about lots of 1000. I really haven't decided on a logo yet so I'd be happy with a quantity of about 10.

Anybody seen anything like this in small quantities with not too high of a price?

Thanks...

Neat process! Considering the size of a logo, 1000 would be ten sheets or even less. At quantities under that, they're pretty much charging you for setup time since there's almost no production, so I'd say it's unlikely you'll be able to get the sort of quantities you'd like.

If you're willing to be a bit skeezy, you can always call them and say you want a production sample in preparation for ordering 100,000. Sometimes when you need three feet of something that only comes on 1200 yard spools, it's easier to call the company and ask them to send you a ten yard sample than it is to get them to sell you three feet...

There's nothing too complex I foresee here. Do you want something form of embossed design that can be cut out and then affixed to the headstock? Any special thickness requirements? If not this could become very simple and not unlike a design request that came up recently from a customer. Send me a PM, and I might be able to work something out for you since I will otherwise just make a random design as a proof of concept... So it's even better if it's something that can otherwise be of use to someone. Between my CNC Laser, router, and drill press I think it should be pretty straight forward.

Might take a gander at Maverck labels.
We use 'em all the time at my day job.
